Relationships: He pretty much just hangs out with the local wildlife
Ásbjörn is the worst Dragonborn, in that he dallies with side quests instead of doing the main quest and saving the world. He'd much rather be a hermit and save the local wildlife. Of course, he also isn't actually the Dragonborn...he just happens to have an affinity for Shouting and no one will listen when he tells them he's not the person they're looking for. It's really messed up his whole 'grumpy hermit in the forest' shtick.
He was blinded, and his eyes turned black, by a magic spell gone wrong. It honestly hasn't affected him much, aside from some internal embarrassment, and while he is technically blind, he can see magic...which makes fighting magical opponents a lot easier than non-magic ones. He has also imbued all of his books with magic, as he enjoys reading. Though he sometimes does bump into those dastardly sign posts.
